"Furuno's 1715 radar combines power and a high-definition screen with a lightweight radome and an ultra-compact waterproof display. The 7" HD LCD is easy to read in sunlight and presents the radar returns in four shades of gray. Perfect for the open environment of a center console boat. Easy to use and install, the 1715 Radar has a number of outstanding features. They include a power-saving Watchman feature, in which the antenna is stopped and transmission suspended. The radar will wake up at a specified time interval (5, 10, or 20 min.). If a target enters or leaves the Guard Zone, an audible alarm sounds, and the radar will switch into its normal operating mode. The 1715 radome uses 2.2 kW of power with a 24 nautical mile range. The new sleek design of its 18" radome antenna has a beam width of 5.2°. The 1715 can be interconnected with compatible nav equipment through its two NMEA 0183 data input ports. Standard features include EBL, EVRM, automatic receiver tuning for optimum target detection, automatic sensitivity, and anti-clutter controls for a constant clear picture. 12 - 32V DC.
