The NX-300 does all the things Furuno's larger receivers do, but the NX-300 is much smaller and does not require expensive rolls of paper. With the NX-300 you don't have to be a "Meteorologist" to track the weather. All messages are clearly displayed in plain English text on the unit's 4.5", high contrast display. The NX-300 is matched with an Active H-Field Loop Antenna unit providing enhanced reception as well as simplifying installation because it doesn't require grounding. Additionally, the NX-300 can serve as a navigational data repeater (Lat/Lon, SOG, COG, BTW) when interfaced with a GPS unit or you can hook it up to your computer via a RS-232 interface.
