"The AP25 is Simrad's top-of-the-line autopilot. Addressing the needs of fishermen, the AP25 now offers two functions ideally suited to trolling. The Depth Contour Tracking (DCT) features in conjunction with your depth sounder or fishfinder will have your boat follow a ledge. You can even steer in a controlled S-pattern along the ledge. The Turn Pattern Steering feature will steer your boat to a selection of different turn patterns of your choice including U-Turns, Zigzags, Spirals, Squares, or Lazy S's. The AP25 will steer your trolling pattern and let you concentrate on the fishing. Additionally the AP25 now features Virtual Rudder Feedback on systems designed for outboard engines. This feature eliminates the rudder feedback unit on outboards and saves you installation and maintenance costs. However, please note that without the LF3000 rudder feedback unit installed on outboards, the rudder angle screen will not be available on the AP25 display. The AP25 continues to feature a 5" high resolution LCD display for clear, easy-to-read pages. Dedicated mode keys and well-thought-out menus for setup and operation make it a simple task to use the AP25. Includes a mini gyro rate compass for automatic tuning of parameters. Also included is a combination wind vane/GPS input for advanced steering in wind. The AP25 also utilizes SimNet - Simrad's highly advanced, single cable electronic interconnection for advanced data sharing and system control.
