New features include Depth Contour Tracking, Turn Pattern Steering, and Virtual Rudder Feedback for Outboard engine configurations. It all amounts to an autopilot that learns and adjusts to changing conditions when underway. The Virtual Rudder Feedback feature for outboards eliminates the need for a rudder feedback unit saving you installation and maintenance costs down the road. However, please note that without the LF3000 rudder feedback unit installed on outboards, the rudder angle screen will not be available on the AP26 or AP27 display. The Depth Contour Tracking DCT and Turn Pattern Steering features provide new ways to automatically set trolling patterns. When connected to your sounder, the Depth Contour Tracking will follow an underwater ridge or ledge. The dynamic performance of your vessel while running will be dramatically improved with either of these autopilots because of the included RC36 Rate Compass. All packages have either a RPU80 or RPU160 Reversible Pump for inboards and outboards, depending on your application. The RPU80 is designed for hydraulic drives up to 11 cu.in., and the RPU160 is designed for 22 cu.in. installations.
