"Standard Horizon's innovative CPV550 packs a powerful 12-channel WAAS GPS plotter with a top-notch Class D VHF radio. The waterproof, commercial grade ITU Class D VHF has a built-in DSC receiver, which allows you to receive VHF and DSC calls simultaneously. Standard's DSC polling technology permits you to securely poll and display the GPS location of another vessel. Both can be programmed to scan several combinations of channels with or without priority channel. They can also be set to Dual Watch and Tri-Watch, and will audibly alert you to switch to the active weather channel during impending severe weather. The VHF also offers a built-in 30-watt hailer/horn, and you can connect up to two RAM+ or telephone style microphones. Comes pre-loaded with detailed C-Map cartography down to the 2 nm scale. Plus, both can be loaded with up to 1,000 waypoints and marks. Other features include an alphanumeric keypad and telephone style handset. Add the optional FF520 black box fishfinder to bring high-end sounder capabilities to the CPV series.
