Drive Units: You need to select the correct drive unit to match your boat's steering system, displacement, and size. Four drives are available: Hydraulic Pumps, Stern Drives, Rotary Drives, and Linear/Hydraulic Linear Drives. The most common steering systems today use Hydraulic Pumps, so we have only listed the hydraulic systems in this catalog. However, we carry all drive types, so if your steering system uses cables, please call us and we'll be happy to recommend the correct drive type for your boat. Three Hydraulic Pumps are available: Type 1 for Ram Cylinders up to 14 cubic inches; Type 2 for Ram Cylinders up to 21 cubic inches; and Type 3 for Ram Cylinders up to 30 cubic inches.
